Gibson City Farmer's Market

The Gibson City Farmer's Market was the second event held to close this year's Employee Health & Fitness Month activities. Ms Jean Arends was interviewed by Douglas Corbett of the FIPHD concerning her experience at the Farmer's Market. Jeff Reynolds, of the CRCC in Paxton, was present to tell community members of the programs and services available in the area and also had depression screenings available for those that were interested. FIPHD had blood pressure checks, body fat analysis, had a drawing for free cholesterol/glucose screenings and had "fun with food" time (showing parents and kids how vegetables and fruits can be just as fun making characters with as in eating them. Tyler Miller had Green Mountain Grills available for the community to view. He grilled tasty morsals made with produce from the Farmer's Market for the community to sample.
