FIPHD Home Health Now Has New Point of Care Device

The Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department Home Health Department is pleased to inform you that we now have the new Point of Care - COAGUCHEK XS device which can be used to monitor a patient's INR in the home setting with just a finger stick.  Using this device will mean obtaining faster results which can be called directly to the physician from the home setting.  This procedure will be easier for the patient and will enable making adjustments in medications in the clients home immediately.  If you have questions concerning this new device or if you are a Healthcare Provider and wish to have more information concerning our Home Health Program and the use of this new device, please direct your questions or conversations to Mary Cahoe, Coordinator of Home Health Services at Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department.
