Home, Workplace Emergency Planning Can Protect Employees  

A 15- hour Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification Course and a 5-hour Refresher Recertification Course will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from
8 am-5 pm and Friday, June 14, 2013 from 8 am-4 pm. The 5-hour refresher course can be taken on June 13 or June 14 from 8 am-2 pm. The IDPH Sanitation Manager exam will be given immediately following the Friday training.

National Infant Immunization Week – April 20-27, 2013



SPRINGFIELD –The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is reporting the highest number of pertussis (whooping cough) cases in Illinois since 1950.  Preliminary numbers show 2,026 cases of pertussis in Illinois residents in 2012.  During National Infant Immunization Week, April 20-27, 2013, the Department urges parents to make sure their children have received all 14 recommended vaccinations, which includes pertussis, before age two.
