What is the Breast & Cervical Program?

The Breast & Cervical Program offers free breast exams/pap tests to women 35-64 years of age that are uninsured or underinsured.

What does WIC offer?

WIC offers nutritious foods to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women who are income eligible. WIC also offers infant foods and formula (to formula fed infants) and nutritious foods and dairy for children to the age of 5 years.

What is APORS?

The acronym APORS stands for Adverse Pregnancy Outcome Reporting System. A referral is automatically generated from a hospital to the family's local health department following delivery if an infant is premature or if complications during pregnancy existed. The local health department nurse follows up on the development and progress of the infant through assessments and makes necessary referrals for the family as needed.
