This Board of Health was appointed and operates under the provisions of “An Act in Relation to the Establishment and Maintenance of County and Multiple-County Public Health Departments”, (Chapter 55, Div. 5-25001, et.seq. Illinois Compiled Statutes, 1996), also known as the County and Multi-County Health Department Act.
